A Lenten Prayer
Lord in these days of Lent
inspire us to worship You
in spirit and in truth,
to see anew the significance of
water in our Baptism,
to travel the Lenten way
to the foot of the Cross,
to be good witnesses so that others
may come to believe in You as their Savior,
to wonder at all You do for us
in spirit, mind, and body;
to marvel at all the words You speak to us
in nature, in the Scriptures, in the Sacraments,
in the lives of Your people;
to hesitate in no way to work for You and with You
in Your Kingdom. Amen.
