Join us this summer for the Lutheran Summer Softball League! This casual slow-pitch league brings together local Lutheran churches—and anyone else who would like to participate—for an opportunity to enjoy softball, build friendships, and strengthen connections within our community. Games will be played every other Tuesday evening from 6:00–8:00 PM throughout June and July at Blessed Savior Lutheran Church in Florissant, with the first game scheduled for June 9. Participation is completely free, and players of all skill levels are welcome. Just bring a glove and come ready for an evening of friendly competition, fellowship, and fun.

Not interested in playing? We'd still love to have you join us! Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, outdoor games, snacks, or a picnic dinner and enjoy the evening from our picnic area while cheering on the teams. Whether you're on the field or in the stands, this is a great opportunity to connect with others and enjoy a summer evening together.

Good Friday Tenebrae Service
Apr

7:00 PM19:00

Good Friday Tenebrae Service

Join us for our Tenebrae service as we enter into the solemn remembrance of Christ’s passion and death. “Tenebrae,” meaning darkness, is a service of darkness observed on Good Friday. Through scripture, prayer, and music, candles are gradually extinguished, symbolizing the deepening darkness that fell upon the world as our Lord suffered on the cross.

In this quiet and reflective service, we contemplate the weight of sin, the sorrow of the cross, and the immeasurable love of Christ, who gave Himself for us. All are invited to gather in this sacred stillness as we await the dawn of resurrection hope.

Good Friday Treore Service

Good Friday Treore Service

Join us as we gather to reflect on the saving sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross. On Good Friday, we will hold a three-hour service centered on the Seven Last Words of Christ from the cross. The service is divided into seven brief sections, each led by a different preacher, focusing on one of His final words. Through Scripture, prayer, and reflection, we will contemplate the depth of His sacrifice and the immeasurable love revealed at Calvary.

You are welcome to attend the full service or come and go as your schedule allows. Whether you stay for one meditation or all seven, we invite you to enter into this solemn and sacred time as we fix our eyes on Christ crucified.
